About College : Dr. MGR-Janaki College of Arts and Science for Women is a college for women in the Sathyabama MGR Maligai Campus in Chennai. Janaki Ramachandran, former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, help found the college in memory of her husband Bharat Ratna Dr. M.G. Ramachandran, with support from Shri. NPV Ramaswamy Udayar, Founder-Chancellor, Sri Ramachandra University; Shri.N.C.Ragavachari Senior Advocate, High Court of Madras; and other well wishers. It is a sister institution of Dr.MGR Home and Higher Secondary School for the Speech and Hearing Impaired.
